Johanna Småros is Development Director and co-founder of RELEX, a start-up company providing software tools for increasing the efficiency and accuracy of inventory management, purchasing, and demand forecasting. Before founding RELEX, Johanna pursued a successful academic career, resulting in more than ten peer-reviewed articles and several best paper awards. Johanna received her doctorate from Helsinki University of Technology. Her doctoral thesis “Information Sharing and Collaborative Forecasting in Retail Supply Chains” was awarded with the highest degree. During her years as a researcher, Johanna also participated in developing and implementing several new practices in the fast moving consumer goods sector; planning and forecasting collaboration between retailers and suppliers, sharing and utilization of point of sale data in supply chains, and automated store ordering.
